About Our Organization

The Sensible Women Initiative (SWI), Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that was founded in 2012.  It is operated by a volunteer group of dedicated professional women from various parts of the United States.  The SWI provides services to young ladies ages five to twenty-five - particularly in the areas of personal development and relationship building.  Based on their age levels, participants are organized into three groups:  Diamond, Violet, and Butterfly.
Our logo represents the journey our participating young ladies will take.  They may come to us as diamonds in the rough;  but through our program, they will emerge as beautiful butterflies ready to spread
their wings and fly.

WELCOME  VISITORS!

We are elated that you stopped by to see what the Sensible Women Initiative is all about. We are an organization of caring and concerned women who come from different backgrounds, different career paths, and different parts of the country. Despite these differences, we have a major characteristic in common: We all want to do what we can to help improve the lives of young ladies. We want to help with their overall personal, educational, and social development so they will be better prepared to live sensible and successful lives.

Let’s face it, without extra assistance, some of our young ladies today may “fall through the cracks,” as the saying goes. They may live in conditions where they do not receive the optimum nurture, guidance, schooling, or support. Their world may be filled with neglect, abuse, contradiction, and/or chaos.  They may not receive the love, respect, upbringing, and opportunities they are due.

The Sensible Women Initiative stands ready to do what it can to assist in changing the trajectory for the young ladies it serves, providing them with developmental support and giving them a sense of self-worth, a desire to achieve success, and a roadmap to sensible womanhood.

We invite you to peruse our website and learn more about our mission, goals, and objectives as well as the capable and accomplished women who are leading the Sensible Women organization. Also, please take a look at the services and opportunities we are offering at the national and local levels.

PLEASE NOTE

We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) federal tax-exempt organization established for charitable and educational purposes. Our funding will be partially generated from membership fees and assessments, individual donations, and grants -  the bulk of which will directly benefit the young ladies we serve.  If you donate to our organization, a portion of your donation may be claimed when you file your  Federal Income Taxes.

SWI  LADY OF INSPIRATION
1. Diamond Group (ages 5-11): They are beautiful and full of promise, but it will take some polishing to really make them shine.

2. Violet Group (ages 12-17): They are blossoming and their true beauty is bursting forth, but if they don't continue to get the right nourishment, they could wilt on the vine.

3. Butterfly Group (ages 18-25): They have been polished and nourished and have not cracked or faded away. In fact, they are beautiful with a rich texture and design. Any day, they will be ready to take wings and fly.
